DNS and Gateway will be the same in your case but you can always use a public DNS such as 8.8.8.8 for means of just accessing the web.

If you wanted to make you LAN IP's static, then you would just have to go to the IPV4 properties and set the IP to manual and change it to anything within that range other than 192.168.5.1 (gateway) and 192.168.5.254 (broadcast) and you should get internet. I'm having a somewhat difficult time understanding the setup but it sounds like you have one modem, one router, and a switch.

Do I need to buy another router that goes between the switch and the modem to set up as dynamic then connect the wireless router to the switch and set it up as static? Please help me figure out how to accomplish this! And let me know any other info that may help with the answer. The switch then has our three office computers plugged into it as well as the two networked office printers.

Currently we have our modem (which is not a router) from Cox Cable, feeding into a wireless Cisco Valet Router which three other office (the ones that want to stay with a dynamic IP address) computers are plugged into as well as a wire leading into our 24 port dlink switch. We need to set up the 3 computers in our office with Static IP addresses (we have been assigned 5 static IPs by our ISP) while keeping the rest of the network as a dynamic set up. This office building does not have an IT specialist and since I have the most computer knowledge I have been left to figure out the networking changes. I work for a new start up company and we currently rent out office space in a small office building.
